About Carla Mann

Carla Mann is a passionate, self-taught artist based in Mississippi, with over 30 years of experience in the world of painting. Inspired by life’s unique stories and the beauty around her, Carla’s journey into full-time art began after the birth of her son, Kaiden, in 2011. Kaiden’s diagnosis of a rare genetic disorder opened her heart to the power of art as a form of healing and self-expression, prompting Carla to pursue her true calling as an artist.

With a love for teaching and sharing her craft, Carla has also cultivated a creative space for others. She enjoys offering art classes for all ages, from children to adults, including special sessions with her five grandchildren who are all eager explorers of the arts. Through these classes, she fosters a sense of creativity and expression in each student, encouraging them to embrace their own artistic journey.

Carla’s work spans a variety of styles, with a focus on soft, ethereal paintings that evoke a sense of calm and wonder. Her brand, Wispy Ginger, reflects her light, airy approach to art, while Art by Carla serves as a platform to connect with her growing community of art lovers. Whether she’s capturing a peaceful landscape, a heartfelt portrait, or teaching a beginner how to hold their first brush, Carla’s goal is to make art accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
